Yesterday, it rained on and off all day. It was pretty crazy. It would rain for 30 minutes or so then it would stop and then 30 minutes later it would rain again. It did that all day!! So the temperature dropped about 10 degrees today. It feels so great.
We went and saw Ness on Wednesday in Shepparton. She is actually up and walking (with a walker). Its pretty amazing. She shares the room with 3 other women. One old lady who had a more convincing beard than I do. I couldn't help but stare. It also seemed like she was sleeping with her eyes open or at least I hope she was sleeping because that would have been pretty awkward. The lady in the bed next to her was nice but she kept to herself. The other lady, Annie, is a 70 year old Canadian who just recently began her 3rd marriage. Her new husband was also on his third marriage. They were the funniest people, aside from Ed, that I have met since I've been here.
Last night we dined at the Goornong Pub. We made up the majority of the business that night, all 3 of us, so needless to say it was packed. The postmaster, Cheryl, was there. She knew who we were before she had even met us. That's a small town for you I guess.
We watched Friday Night Lights the other night and I really miss football. Thank God the Super Bowl will be broadcast over here or else I would flip out. Ed is really excited for it. He is ordering a slab of budwiser for the occasion and he can't wait for us to explain the game to him.
Today, I think Lorena and I are painting one of the buildings. Tonight, I'll finish my tree job and then we are heading into Melbourne to celebrate Evan's, Stephen's friend, birthday. Tomorrow, Lorena, Evan, Andy, Scott and I will be taking off on the Great Ocean Road. Stephen didn't want to go because he has already seen it. More pictures to come.
