So this past weekend we had a discussion about how people from Texas are obnoxious and I agreed but explained that it was for a good reason. The conversation came about when I asked if it was ok for us to wear our Texas Flag button-down shirts out to the bars. The reply wasn't "You really have a Texas Flag shirt?" It was "No, you're not allowed to wear that out with us!" as if to assume that we both each had one, like it was given to us as a part of our citizenship in our Great State.
Which brings me to my next point, it is a well known fact that anyone born in Texas has at least one Texas flag hanging in at least one room of their house, especially if they live out of state. I remember this as we got back to the farm and there hanging on our door is a Texas Flag...I rest my case.
Tuesday was Australia Day and I was kind of hoping for the day off like the rest of the country, but I guess since I'm not Australian, I do not get that luxury, oh well. I had a pretty good day regardless.
Yesterday, I raked and weeded and gardened and cleaned our little house. I was a dress short of being a woman...haha.
Today I went to Echuca and saw the riverboats and then I helped Paul cut down some trees and i'll be getting paid!!! Ness has her surgery on monday instead of yesterday and we are still getting ready for that. One of our friends from Sydney is coming to stay with us for a week and we are happy about that. That will keep our average number of contacts consistent with the usual 3 people per day.
I hope you enjoy thursday because I know I did.
Aussie phrase of the day (It's my favorite...I try to use it whenever I can)
"Couldn't be bothered" as in "I couldn't be bothered to email you back because I have to much stuff to do"
also, "Pervin' on Sheilas" = Staring at women...haha
talk to you soon
Another successful weekend for ESB riders
